Use the following chart to determine which seats in the vehicle are suit-
able for the carriage of child restraint systems.
U: Suitable for "universal" category restraints approved for use in this
mass group.
+: Suitable for ISOFIX "universal" category forward-facing restraints
approved for use in this mass group.
X: Seat position not suitable for children in this mass group.

A child restraint may have a top
strap.
Some top strap-equipped child
restraints are designed for use with
or without the top strap being
anchored. Others require that the
top strap be anchored.

Read and follow all instructions
that come with the restraint.
If your child restraint requires that
the top strap be anchored, do not
use the restraint unless it is
anchored properly.
Child restraints with top straps
positions. There are no anchor
brackets available for front seating
positions.
• Sedan Models:
The top strap anchor brackets
are located on the shelf behind
the rear seats.
To access a bracket, open the
trim cover.
Pull up on the anchor to raise
it.
• Hatchback Models:
The top strap anchor brackets
are located along the back wall
of the rear area.
To access a bracket, pull the
front part of the plastic cover
downward.
- Note:
Before routing the top strap
to a bracket, remove the rear
area cover (if equipped).
