A disc error may also occur under
any of the following conditions:
• The disc format is not
compatible with the player.
• There was a problem while
burning the disc.
• A paper disc label is caught in
the disc player.
If a disc is not playing correctly for
any other reason, try a known
good disc.
Contact your dealer if any error
occurs repeatedly or if an error
cannot be corrected.
Provide your dealer with any
displayed error codes when
servicing your CD player.
Portable Audio Device
Your audio system has a feature
which allows you to connect an
auxiliary audio source.
The jack allows you to connect an
auxiliary device such as a portable
MP3 player to the audio system.
Do not plug headphones into the
auxiliary input jack.
DISC ERROR
If
CHECK CD
appears and/or the
disc comes out, it means there is
an error. The cause may be
extreme heat, rough road,
moisture or a damaged or
improperly loaded disc. The disc
may not play or it may eject.
Unless the disc is damaged, it will
play when conditions are back to
normal.

To use this feature, do the
following:
1. Connect the cable with a
3.5 mm jack from the portable
audio device to the auxiliary
input jack
located on the
radio faceplate.
2. Turn on the portable audio
device.
3. Press the
CD/AUX
button.
If you want to change the volume
level, use the volume control
on the sound system or on the
portable audio device.
Press
CD/AUX
to switch from
the portable audio device to a
compact disc.
Press
TAPE
switch from the
portable audio device to a
cassette.
AF (area frequency) Code
If battery power is interrupted, you
will need to enter a code into the
audio system to select the proper
radio frequency intervals for your
region.
Use the following chart to select
the appropriate code for your
region:

To enter the AF code:
1. Turn the audio system on.
AF-
will appear on the display.
2. Enter the
AF
(area frequency)
code into the unit using the
preset buttons.
The preset FM radio frequency
will appear on the display.
