Secure the cable to the lip of the gland using a tie wrap.
Note
If you are raising the cable to a radio unit on a tower, this step is crucial to prevent
the cable from slipping from the gland, which could damage the connector.

Connect the fibers
to the SFP transceiver. Listen for the “click” to ensure that
they are fully inserted.

Remove the tie wrap securing the cable to the gland.
Note
A new tie wrap must be used to secure the cable to the gland at the end of the
procedure, as described in Step 13.

10 Connect the connector into the PTP 820C plug connector.
