12.  TROUBLESHOOTING

OFF

WARNING

: Turn off the power supply before performing any operations.

Do not allow the pump or motor to run  when dry even for a short period.

Strictly follow the user instructions and if necessary contact an authorised service centre.

PROBLEM

PROBABLE CAUSES

POSSIBLE REMEDIES

1)

The motor

does not start

1a)

Disconnected or unsuitable

power supply

1b) Shaft blocked

1c)  If the above causes have already

been  checked, the engine may

be malfunctioning

1d) Supply voltage lower than 195V

1e) Motor short circuit

1f) Pump error

1a)  Check the complete insertion of the plug and check that the

mains frequency  and voltage correspond to the electrical

characteristics shown on the indicator plate

1b)  Remove the cause of blockage as indicated in the “Blocked

pump” instruction booklet

1c)  Repair  or replace the engine by applying to an authorised

service centre

1d) Check supply voltage

1e) Contact an authorized service center.

1f)  Disconnect the power supply wait 10s and restore power.

2)

Pump

blocked

2a)  Prolonged periods of inactivity

with formation of rust inside the

pump

2b)  Presence of solid bodies in the

pump rotor

2c) Bearings siezed

2a)  Remove suction strainer and manually check the free

rotation of impeller, if necessary contact an authorised

service center

2b)  Check and clean impellers and diffuser, if necessary contact

an authorised service center

2c)  If the bearings are damaged replace them or if necessary

contact an authorised service centre

3)

The pump

functions

but no water

comes out

3a) Suction filter blocked

3b) Non-return valve blocked

3c) Not enough suction head

3c) Clean the filter, if necessary, replace it . See point 2a) also.

3d)

Verify that the integrated non-return valve is working

properly.

3c)  Check and, if possible,  restore minimum suction head

otherwise. Disconnect the power supply wait 10s and

restore power.

4)

The pump

does not

stop

4a)

Non-return valve broken,

blocked or clogged with solid

parts.

4b)  Stop pressure  too high.

4c) Insufficient pump performance

4a)  Check the function of the integrated check valve and

remove the solid parts present in the valve.

4b) Contact an authorised service center.

4c) Contact an authorised service center.

5)

The pump

works

intermittently

5a)  Non-return valve broken, blocked or

clogged with solid parts

5b)  Incorrect tank pressure, Empty tank

or broken membrane.

5a)  Check if the built-in check valve is working properly and

remove the solid parts present in the valve

5b)  Check the tank pressure

6)

Insufficient

flow

6a)

Pipes and accessories with

diameter too small causing

excessive loss of head

6b)  Presence of deposits or solid

bodies in the internal passages

of the rotor

6c) Rotor deteriorated

6a)  Use  pipes  and  accessories  suitable  for  the  specific

application

6b)  Clean the rotor and install a suction filter to prevent other

foreign bodies from entering

6c) Replace the rotor, if necessary, contact an authorised

service centre

7)

Noise and

vibrations

from the

pump

7a) Rotating part unbalanced

7b) Worn bearings

7c)  Pump  and  pipes  not  firmly

attached

7d)  Flow too strong for the diameter

of the delivery pipe

7e) Functioning in cavitation

7a) Check that no solid bodies are obstructing the rotor

7b) Replace the bearings

7c) Anchor the delivery and suction piping as needed

7d) Use bigger diameters or reduce the pump flow

7e)  Reduce the flow by adjusting the feeder gate  and/or using

pipes with a bigger internal diameter.

8)

Excessive

number of

starts/hour

8a)

Pump started more than 240

times in 2 hours

8a) Install a higher capacity tank

Changes reserved.
