ELECTRONIC KEY NOT
DETECTED
Note: This message may not be
available on all vehicles.
Appears when the vehicle does
not detect the presence of a
keyless access transmitter when
you attempt to start the vehicle
or after a door is closed.
This message will also appear
when the vehicle’s battery is
low and the system can not
detect a transmitter.
The battery charge must be
above 10 volts to detect the
transmitter.
This message may appear
because something is causing
interference.
Interference may be caused by
equipment plugged into the
accessory power outlet on the
center console. Examples of
such equipment include:
- cell phone
- cell phone charger
- two-way radio
- power inverter
Try moving the transmitter
away from the device when
starting the vehicle.
Personal Digital Assistant
devices and remote garage/
gate openers may generate
electromagnetic interference.
Do not carry the keyless access
transmitter in the same pocket
or bag as these devices.
There may also be interference
in areas where there is an
electro-magnetic field, such as
near an airport, automatic toll
booth, or some gas stations.
