Instrumentation and Controls

If the radio is tuned to an RDS
station that has traffic
announcement broadcast
capability while the traffic
announcement feature is disabled,
TA
(traffic announcement) will
appear on the display.
If the traffic announcement
feature is enabled while the radio
is tuned to a station that does not
broadcast traffic information, the
radio will automatically seek to the
next station that does.
When the audio system finds a
station which broadcasts traffic
announcements, it will stop. If no
station is found,
NO TRAFFIC
will
appear on the display.
If a traffic message is generated by
the tuned station, the radio will
interrupt your current listening
mode to bring you the
announcement.
The announcement is heard even
if another audio source is playing.
The current audio source will
continue playing in the back-
ground at a reduced volume level.
TRAFFIC ANNOUNCEMENT
will also appear on the display.
Once a traffic announcement is
completed, the radio will return to
the previous volume level.
Press the push-button under
DISMISS
to stop listening to the
traffic announcement and return
to the previous audio source.
If a traffic message is generated
and the radio is tuned to a station
that does not broadcast traffic
information,
TRAFFIC
ANNOUNCEMENT
and the name
or frequency of a station which
broadcasts traffic messages will
appear on the display.
