flashing.

Brake System Warning Light

If the electric parking brake is
applied while the vehicle is in
motion, a chime will sound, and
the following message will appear
on the driver information center
display:

•

RELEASE PARK BRAKE
SWITCH

The vehicle will decelerate as long
as the switch is held in the up
position.

Releasing the electric parking
brake switch during the decelera-
tion will release the parking brake.

If the switch is held in the up posi-
tion until the vehicle comes to a
stop, the electric parking brake will
remain applied.

If the Brake System Warning Light
is on, either the electric parking
brake is applied, or there is a failure
in the hydraulic brake system.
