CONTROLS:
All operation is by push button control as follows:
- On/Off
- M (L1, L2, Ind, Con) Cycles through four settings
- Power Mode
- Radio Mode
- Frequency Select (512Hz, 640Hz, 8kHz, 33kHz)
Cycles through 4 output frequencies in L1 only.
INDICATIONS:
Audio:
Internal audio for button press feedback
Audio tone at turn on and turn off.
Visual:
Multi-segment Liquid Crystal Display.
Gives indications of the following:
- Test mode (L1, L2, Ind, Con)
- Test frequency (512Hz, 640Hz, 8kHz, 33kHz)
- Detected signal strength (bar graph display in Ind and Con only)
- Battery condition.
OUTPUTS:
In L1 and L2 (Locator and Cable Avoidance Tool test modes)
Power Signal – 250Hz (5th Harmonic)
Radio Signal – 19kHz
Generator/Transmitter test signal –

INPUTS:
In ‘Ind’ (Transmitter and Generator Induced Test mode)
Induced mode aerial. Automatic detection of 33kHz and 8kHz
radiated signal from Transmitter or Generator.
In ‘Con’ (Transmitter and Generator Connected Test mode)
Connected Mode terminals. Automatic detection of 33kHz, 8kHz,
640Hz and 512Hz connected signals.
POWER SUPPLY:
4 x ‘D’ (LR20) cells (alkaline recommended)
Battery Life: 100 hours continuous operation
Auto power off 5 minutes after last button press.
NOTE:
Performance can be affected by site parameters such as
strong electromagnetic fields and large metal structures
in close proximity.
The C-Scope Function Checker is in compliance with the
essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Council
Directive 199/5/EC. Compliance has been demonstrated by
testing representative samples to the harmonised standards
EN300-330 and EN301-489.
The essential radio test suites have been carried out and the
equipment is in conformity with all applicable directives.
All C-Scope Function Checkers comply with the RoHS directive
2002/95/EC.
