6. Reduce the Signal Generator power output using the
‘Low Power’ button.
CORRECT RESULT
: The Function Checker bar graph should show
an indication of 2/10 full scale and the ‘33kHz’ icon should show in
the top left hand corner on the Function Checker display.
7. Return the Signal Generator to full power using the
‘High Power’ button.
8. Press the ‘Pulsed/Continuous’ button on the Signal Generator
to select the pulsed signal output.
CORRECT RESULT
: The Function Checker bar graph should now
be flickering to indicate a pulsed signal. The Signal Generator will
also change from a continuous tone to a pulsed tone.
9. Press the ‘Loud/Mute’ button on the Signal Generator to
select the Mute setting.
CORRECT RESULT
: The Function Checker response should remain
unchanged but the audio output from the Signal Generator should
be quieter.
