15. Detach the black Connection Lead from the Function
Checker terminal (leaving the red Connection Lead attached)
and confirm that the pitch of the audio rises.
16. Plug the yellow 10m Auxiliary Earth Lead into the
green socket on the Transmitter and attach the crocodile
clip to the unused terminal on the Function Checker.
CORRECT RESULT
: The audio response should change to
a lower pitch as the second clip is attached to the second
terminal. The Transmitter bar graph should show a full scale
response. The Function Checker bar graph should show an
indication of 8/10 full scale and the ‘33kHz’ icon should show
in the top left hand corner on the Function Checker display.
NOTE
If the CORRECT RESULT is not achieved, the cause may be a faulty 10m Auxiliary Earth Lead.
Replace with a good lead and try the test again.
