12.7 Replacing Bulbs, External
12.7.1 Front Lights
The lamps for low beam, main beam and parking light as well as for the direction indicator are part
of the basic vehicle. Replacement of light bulbs is described in the instruction manual of the base
vehicle.
12.7.2 Rear Lights
Variant 1

Undo housing screws (Fig. 171,1).

Remove housing (Fig. 171,2) from the lamp
holder.

Undo the bulb holder’s (Fig. 172,2) bayonet
socket

Remove housing (Fig. 172,1) from the bulb
holder.

Remove bulb.
³
Put in a new bulb.
³
Replace the rear light in the reverse order.

Bulbs and light fittings can be extremely hot. Therefore, allow lights to cool down be-
fore changing bulbs.

Store bulbs in a safe place inaccessible to children.
V
Do not use any bulb that has been dropped or which shows scratches in its glass.
The bulb might burst.
V
Halogen bulbs should not be touched with the fingers. Use a cloth when installing new
halogen bulbs.
V
Only use bulbs of the same type and with the correct wattage.
