**TEST**
The TEST menu allows you to perform the following:
!
test of sensors connected to
SMART 200 INT-TW 485
.
!
test of communication line efficiency between
SMART 3000TW
,
SMART 200 INT-TW 485
Boards and connected sensors.
While the system is in control condition, press and hold for 3 seconds
When the **P1** label appears, press four times
to select the TEST menu.
This screen indicates that the sensor test is going to start.
Press
to access the Sensor Test function
(TEST_SE).
TEST_SE: Sensors Test
This function gives the possibility to check communications between the
SMART
3000TW
terminal and
(one by one)
the sensors connected to the Boards.
In this way it is possible to check that:
!
All sensors are correctly numbered and identified
!
All sensors respond correctly to the terminal
!
The same number has not been assigned to more that 1 sensor within the same
Board.
This function is particularly useful during the testing phase
(immediately after
installation)
and when operation problems occur which require a check of each
sensor individually.
The test does not send any diagnostic message to the SMART system display!
You will have to simply select the number of the desired sensor
(DEV nnn)
by
using the button NEXT CY and checking that the red LED on all sensors identified
by number nnn
(sensor nnn connected to Board 01, sensor nnn connected to Board
02 … sensor nnn connected to Board 08).
DEV nnn indicates the sensor which is being tested
(initially sensor 001).
Check
that the Red LED of all sensor identified by number nnn is blinking and there are
no other sensors with the Red LED FLASHING.
!
If the Red LED of the sensor that should respond to the number nnn is not
flashing, it means that the sensor is faulty or the sensors numbering
procedure has not been performed correctly. In this case try to renumber the
sensors (see the NUMBER DEVICES function within the P1 menu level)
and, if required, replace the sensor.
If the Red LED is flashing on more that one sensor, it means that the same
number has been assigned to more than one sensor. In this case it will be
necessary to repeat the sensor numbering procedure (see the NUMBER
DEVICES function within the P1 menu level).
