Updating the Software Version on SMART 200 INT-TW 485 Board
The software updating on SMART 200 INT-TW 485 Board is a relatively easy
operation. However it must be carried out following scrupulously the instructions
given in this manual and using the indicated tools to avoid damaging the
equipment and/or microprocessor contacts.
Tools Needed:
-
Small screwdriver
-
IC extractor
Operating Procedure:
1.
Take note of the currently set parameters
(Number of
Sensors/bars connected, etc.)
.
2.
Disconnect the electrical supply of SMART system and check
that all the red Leds as well as the display are off.
3.
Disconnect all connectors
(IS3.. Connection, Connection Port
RS485 e I/O SMART 3000TW Computer)
from the Board in
question.
4.
Remove the Board from its moving
(For instance from Box BX5040FSST)
.
5.
Using a small screw driver, remove the 4 plastic pins and
remove the front cover to gain access to the PCB
(Fig. 1)
.
6.
Using the IC extractor, remove with care the Integrated Circuit
from the socket located on the right top corner of PCB
(Fig. 2)
.
7.
Place the Integrated Circuit, containing the new software
version, over the socket paying attention to its correct
orientation
(Fig. 3).
8.
Applying a moderate and progressive pressure with both
thumbs, push the integrated circuit down into the socket
(Fig. 4)
.
9.
Reassemble the front cover using the 4 plastic pins and reinsert
the Board into its housing
(For instance from Box
BX5040FSST).
10.
Reconnect all connectors to their respective position.
11.
Power on the system and check that all the red LEDs of the
Board lights up for a few seconds.
!
If the ERROR RAM B0n message appears on SMART 3000TW,
press RESET and refer to chapter 4 “Troubleshooting”.
During this operation, avoid the conditions that could
cause static discharge!
