OPERATING THE WIRELESS NETWORK (PAIRING)
The lectern, base unit, and aeration units must be on the same
wireless
network
to enable them to communicate with each other. Supervisor or administrator
access is required for the following.
13.1
Changing the Wireless Network Colour
Where multiple suites are being run on the same site, it is important that every
suite has a different network colour, as this will prevent confusion if modules are
mixed-up or changed between suites, or two suites are run in nearby rooms.
To change the colour, go to the administration screen and change the network
number. A total of 10 network numbers are available and each number has a
different colour associated with it.
13.2
Pairing a Lectern to a ProteQ Base Unit
If a ProteQ base unit requires pairing with a lectern then use the following
procedure.
Power down and power-up the lectern and log on
Once paired, push the ‘open network’ icon
again to close the network, if this
is not done within 5 minutes it will automatically close. The icon will stop flashing.
Press the wireless button above the bottle
module on the base unit. This will start to
fast flash.
The lectern should pair with the base
unit, this is seen by the light halo around
the wireless button on the base unit going
steady state blue. This may take a
minute, if unsuccessful power cycle the
base unit.
Go to the Admin screen (pen), and press the
wireless icon
acknowledge with the green tick, this starts a
new network.
Return to the admin screen and open the
network by pressing the ‘open network’ icon
the icon and the wireless indicator on the
lectern panel will flash. If a repeater is being
used the light on the repeater will also flash.
