HAND HELD LOW LEVEL HYDROGEN PEROXIDE SENSOR
This instrument is fitted with the
hydrogen peroxide vapour sensor
head. The two alarm set points are
programmed at 1ppm and 2ppm.
The date is set in European format,
and the language is English. The
calibration certificate is contained in
the box with the instructions.
Refer to the separate manufacturer’s manual for full details including changing
language; the following is intended to be a quick reference guide.
Switching ON
: Press the green ‘OK’ button on the right. The unit will perform a
self-test of the audible and visual alarm, then the display will show the following:
Software version
Days to next calibration
Alarms (set to A1=1, and A2=2)
It will then display the level detected. If you press any key the display will be
illuminated for 10 seconds.
If the level detected exceeds 1ppm, the visual and audible alarm will operate in
single bursts. When 2ppm or greater is detected, the alarm will operate in double
bursts. To acknowledge the alarm press ‘OK’ button, this may not mute the alarm
if the level is above the high alarm limit.
When the instrument is turned off it is still providing power to the sensor to keep
it in a warmed state, ready for the next use. Once fully charged, the battery
should last for 150 hours in the off state, therefore the instrument should be
stored in its charger base unit.
If the unit is to be left off for longer periods without being charged, the battery
should be removed by unscrewing the Hex bolt at the bottom rear of the unit.
The battery pack should then slide out.
Charging the power supply unit
The unit is supplied with the instrument holder and mains adaptor. Place the
instrument into the holder and plug in the mains adaptor. The red light on the
holder will be flashing when the unit is charging and will stay illuminated once
charged. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge.
It is strongly recommended that the instrument is stored in its charging
unit.
Calibration
This instrument requires re-calibration every six months. It is recommended that
the re-calibration is conducted by Bioquell as it can then be accurately re-
calibrated at 1ppm.
