5.3.8 Filter Slider
The filter slider can accommodate
4 excitation filters with a diameter of
25 mm (or 1 inch).
Use the IndiGO software function
[Start an acquisition] menu to open
the filter slider menu. Click the
button to eject the filter slider.
Please observe the correct installation
direction (arrow on the filter wheel)
when loading the filter.
To insert the filter slider again, push it
into the holder until it snaps into place. Then click on
to move the filter drawer into the
device and to initialize it.
After the excitation filter has been loaded, you have to calibrate the filter in order to use the light
source optimally. The filter calibration is part of the service backend and accessible trough
servce users only.
In the service backend, just click on “Lamp energy” in the calibration section to access the lamp
intensity calibration. All excitation filters from the filter inventory are listed. Clicking on
opens calibration dialog. The filter slider selection pops up to select the desired filter slider for
calibration.
Click on to calibrate the filters in the selected slider. This process takes about 30-50 se-
conds per filter. Only filters that are assigned to a slider, can be calibrated.
