3.1 Opening The P
ULSAR
•
Unplug the power cord to turn off the P
ULSAR
.
•
Unscrew the nine screws (Torx 10) holding the top cover.
•
Pull the top cover backwards and remove it.
•
Loosen the nine screws (Torx 10) holding the bottom cover.
•
Remove the bottom cover.
3.2 Installing The Reference Carrier Board
If needed, solder the three pins of the two supporting plates in the correct place. (see layout diagram)
•
Bridges to be set on the mainboard.

BR31 Enables / disables the option Vision Carrier Reference Input Remove

Cable connections to be made.

Cable from rear panel
REF IN connector J2 on the optional board
Power Supply Cable 1 (13-wire) Remove from J21 on the main-
board. Connect this end to J5 on the
optional board.
Power Supply Cable 2 (13-wire) J1 on the optional board J21 on the mainboard
Vision Carrier Reference Input
Cable from mainboard
N4 on the optional board J72 on the mainboard
Vision Carrier Reference Output
Cable to mainboard
N5 on the optional board J72* on the mainboard
•
Place the optional board over the tabs and twist them to fix the board.
•
Use the delivered cable ties to tighten the cables.
3.3 Closing The P
ULSAR
•
Put the bottom cover back onto the chassis.
•
Tighten the nine screws (Torx 10) while pressing the bottom cover down.
•
Turn the P
ULSAR
upright.
•
Put the top cover onto the chassis.
•
Tighten the nine screws (Torx 10) while pressing the top cover down.
•
Replug the power cord.
