5. SETTINGS
The default situation is the selection of the internal 10 MHz reference carrier. Select in the
CONFIG
menu the item CONFIG REF CARR INPUT. Scroll with the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow until INTERNAL
appears. Confirm with
ENTER
.
However, it is possible to select an external reference carrier input. In the CONFIG REF CARR IN-
PUT menu you can select with the
UP
or
DOWN
arrow the mode: AUTO [STATE : INTERNAL]. STATE
indicates which of the reference carriers is used, the internal or external one.
Only if an reference carrier of 40 dBmV ± 6 dB with the correct frequency (adjustable by the user) is
connected to the connector REF IN at the rear panel, the STATE indication will change to EXTER-
NAL. Now the external reference carrier is used.
The frequency of the carrier is depending on the user’s selection. This selection is done in the follow-
ing menu CONFIG / EXT REF CARR INPUT. With the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow the required selection
between 6, 7, 8 or 10 MHz can be made.
Pressing the
UP
or
DOWN
arrow gives the following message:
‘THIS IS AN ALIGNMENT!!’
<PRESS ENTER OR ESCAPE>
Press
ENTER
and make the selection of the required frequency.
