6 ALIGNMENT
•
Do not forget to select the AUX input.
•
Start with a FACTORY RECALL in the
CONFIG
menu, to start with the default settings. Be aware
that all the settings will be lost. One can store these settings first in the user settings memory by
means of the SAVE AS USER command in the
CONFIG
menu.

Select in the MODE menu DEFINE AUX INPUT and set in to ComP IF AUX INPUT. Scroll to
EXTCompIF ALC and turn it ON by means of the
UP
or
DOWN
arrow.

Confirm with ENTER.

Connect a CIF signal, which level is within the range of +30 dBmV to +45 dBmV, to the AUX IF
input on the rear. (e.g. for BG 38.9 MHz, for MN 45.75 MHz).
•
Check if the RF output level in the LEVEL menu is set on 60 dBmV. (120 dBuV)
•
Connect a spectrum analyzer on the RF output at the rear panel.
•
Set the REF LEVEL of the spectrum analyzer on 60 dBmV.
•
With the potentio-meter P1 on the optional board one can change the RF output level for exactly
+ 60 dBmV. For the position of P1, see the chapter 4: Layout.
