Observe Precaution for Handling Electrostatic Sensitive Devices.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can damage the electronic components.
Therefore it is required to work in a static-save work station.
3.2 Installing The Audio SubCarrier Board

Bridges to be set on the mainboard:

Enables / Disables the Audio SubCarrier Input board remove

Place the option board on the fixation profiles and align it with the right side of the mainboard.
See internal layout page.

Fix the option board with the four screws.
•
Cable connections to be made:

IF Sound Out cable (n° 68) J4 on the Audio SubC board J68 on the Mainboard
Internal IF Sound cable (n°69) J7 on the Audio SubC board J69 on the Mainboard
Vision Carrier Input cable (n°29) J3 on the Audio SubC board J29 on the Mainboard
Main Aud. SubC In Cable (N°6) Main Audio SubC In Connector J6 on the Audio SubC board
Aux Aud. SubC In Cable (N°5) Aux Audio SubC In Connector J5 on the Audio SubC board
Power supply option board J1 on the Audio SubC board

3.3 Updating Software Version
Updating the software version is only necessary if the index of the installed software is of a lower
version than the newly delivered. The index of the software is indicated on the label you can find on
the EPROM or GAL. On the label you can find “/ XX”. This number indicates the software version.

For the location of the IC’s, use the Internal layout diagram.

Replace EPROM U65 with the one included in the kitbox. Only needed when the index of the
EPROM in the kitbox is higher than the one that is installed.

Replace GAL U69 with the one included in the kitbox. Only needed when a GAL is included in the
kitbox and the index of the GAL in the kitbox is higher than the one that is installed.
