XGSM485 - XGSM485 PRO - Technical features
XGSM485
has a vocal synthesis module that contains 320 pre-recorded words that can be used to customize a maximum of 40 voice messages.
If the device does not interface with the control unit,
XGSM485
can make absence of interfacing calls to the control unit.
The
XGSM485
can take two SIM Cards. If both are installed, the main SIM
(SIM A)
is set by default and the system automatically switches to the
secondary SIM
(SIM B)
in the event of any of the following:
• No credit
• GSM network down
• No GSM field
• GSM module operating faults
After switching to the Secondary SIM Card, the device sets a 240-minute timer for automatically switching back to the Main SIM Card. The device
may switch back the Main SIM Card earlier, however, if any of the above occurs to the second one in the meantime.
If the system uses both the XGSM and the
XGSM485
, the latter is set by default. If the central control unit detects a communication failure
or a fault with the GSM network of the XGSM485, it automatically switches to the XGSM module until the fault is corrected.
XGSM485 PRO
can also connect to the switched line and to telephones downstream. In this case, when
XGSM485 PRO
detects a decrease in
line voltage (typically 48V), it connects any telephones downstream to its internal interface. In this situation,
XGSM485PRO
emits the free line tone
and waits for the number to be dialled (DTMF only). Once the number is dialled (recognised when there is a longer than anticipated pause after the
last digit of the DTMF) the mobile phone call sequence begins, during which the interface generates connected or engaged signals.
The power of the ring generator of the device permits activation of a limited number of ringtones.
Thus,
it is recommended that a minimum number of cascade-connected phones be connected
. This number can not be defined since
consumption during the ring phase varies from model to model.
