2. Show the port number by entering the show command, followed by the target, followed by
portnumber.
The following example shows the port number for the Telnet service.

Configuring automatic discovery of supported server types
The admin1/map1/oemavocent_discoverysap1 target is for the automatic discovery service, which
finds servers that have the supported service processor technologies when the IP addresses for the
service processors are within the defined IP address range. You can set two different ranges of IP
addresses for automatic discovery through the discovery service access point targets
oemavocent_startip and oemavocent_endip. Supported commands are: set properties, start and
stop. To see all the properties, run:
/admin1/-> show -all /map1/
oemavocent_discoverysap1
NOTE: -all option is for OEM, and it also for showing the associations of targets.
To configure automatic discovery:
1. Configure the automatic discovery range by entering the set command, followed by the target
followed by oemavocent_startip=”startip” oemavocent_endip=”endip”.
/admin1-> set /map1/oemavocent_discoverysap1
oemavocent_startip= ” 172.26.25.1” oemavocent_endip= ” 172.26.25.100”
oemavocent_startip=172.26.25.1
oemavocent_endip=172.26.25.100
2. Set the start mode of automatic discovery by entering the set command followed by the target.
/admin1-> set /map1/oemavocent_discoverysap1
oemavocent_startmode= ” manual”
NOTE: The valid “oemavocent_startmode” values are “automatic” and “manual”.
3. Disable the discovery service by entering the stop command followed by the target.
/admin1-> stop /map1/oemavocent_discoverysap1
/map1/oemavocent_discoverysap1 stopped at Sun Feb 3 18:48:21 2008
4. Enable the discovery service by entering the start command followed by the target.
/admin1-> start /map1/oemavocent_discoverysap1
/map1/oemavocent_discoverysap1 started at Sun Feb 3 14:47:46 2008
