Define a s ec urity level and c hoos e whether or not to trunc ate a PDF417 bar c ode. Higher s ec urity
levels add data to a bar c ode, im proving s c an reliability. Som e dam aged bar c odes m ay s till be
s c annable if the s ec urity level is high enough. Us e this option to c reate s tandard PDF417 bar
c odes or us e the trunc ated option to c reate a narrower bar c ode. This option c an appear only
onc e per PDF417 field, in any order, following the bar c ode field.
As the s ec urity level is inc reas ed, s o is the s iz e of the PDF417 bar c ode. For eac h level
inc reas ed, the bar c ode doubles in s iz e.

R3. s ec urity Sec urity level ranges from 0 to 8 . 0 is the default.

This option defines the im age width or length of a PDF417 bar c ode. If defining a fixed num ber of
c olum ns (width), the bar c ode expands in length. If defining a fixed num ber of rows (length), the
bar c ode expands in width. Colum n value does not inc lude s tart/s top or left/right indic ator
c olum ns . If this option does not im m ediately follow the PDF417 bar c ode field, the default
s ettings are us ed. Us e this option onc e per PDF417 bar c ode field.
