Mem ory
Many different RFID s upplies (tags ) are available and the am ount of
program m able us er m em ory varies with the c hip em bedded in the tag.
Depending on the tag type, all m em ory fields m ay not be available.

TID Field
Tag Identifier
A portion of the TID field c ontains a unique num ber that identifies the
m anufac turer of the tag. This field is readable and writable.

Pas s word
Controls when new data c an be written to a field.

Kill
Pas s word
Sets a tag up to be inoperable.

Loc k Code
Contains the loc king m ethod for eac h field. There are four loc king m ethods :

pas s word is never readable. Kill pas s word is only writable with
pas s word.

Never rewritable, but always readable. The tag c an never be rewritten,
onc e loc ked. EPC and us er m em ory are never rewritable, but are
readable.
Ac c es s pas s word and kill pas s word are never readable or rewritable.
Note :
The EPC field is always readable, no m atter what loc king m ethod is as s igned.
