Our bitm ap fonts are either m onos pac ed (eac h c harac ter oc c upies the s am e am ount of s pac e) or
proportional (eac h c harac ter is a different width). Us e m onos pac ed fonts for pric e fields and data
to lis t in a c olum n. W ith proportionally s pac ed fonts , m ore c harac ters m ay be plac ed per line.
Experim ent with thes e fonts and adjus t field m eas urem ents as nec es s ary. The bitm apped fonts
(either m onos pac ed or proportional) appear jagged when m agnified. The m agnific ation range is 1
to 7.
Us e the MONARCH® MPCL™ Toolbox (Font Utility), available on our W eb s ite, to c onvert a
bitm ap font to Hex or Run-Length enc oding for the printer. Selec t the point s iz e and c harac ters
to print. Bitm ap fonts m ay im age fas ter than a TrueType font, but they are lim ited to the
downloaded point s iz e and c harac ters .
