Using Flash

then, Form at Flas h. The proc es s takes a few m inutes .

Using Volatile RAM
Us e RAM when the graphic im age is us ed by s everal form ats , bec aus e the graphic is s ent onc e.

Form at ,” for m ore inform ation about us ing the graphic pac ket in a form at. Store graphic s s m aller
than approxim ately 1/2 inc h by 1/2 inc h in printer RAM and referenc e by the graphic ID num ber.
Graphic s are s tored in the form at buffer and rem ain there until another graphic pac ket is s ent or
the printer is turned off.
Using Temporary Storage
Us e tem porary s torage when the graphic im age is us ed only in one form at or the graphic im age is
very large. Graphic data in tem porary s torage is held in the im age buffer until the graphic is
printed and then it is c leared from m em ory. Tem porary graphic s are als o c leared from m em ory
when a new batc h is s ent or updated. Us e the s am e graphic im age m ultiple tim es on a form at.
Send the graphic im age to the printer after the form at to whic h it applies .
If a graphic is s tored in tem porary s torage, do not plac e a graphic field in the form at. This will
c aus e an error. Ins tead, pos ition the graphic im age by us ing the row and c olum n loc ations in the
graphic pac ket header. Im age m em ory (tem porary s torage) will ac c ept a graphic pac ket 1218
rows long with 811 dots per row.
