Switching room monitoring off
Press
[Option]
, select
[Off]
and press
[OK]
.
The handset will go into idle mode.
Attention
- note the following points:
•
The distance between handset and baby should be 3.3 - 6.6 ft (1 -2 m). The micro-
phone must be directed toward the baby.
•
When this function is switched on it can reduce the operating time of the handset. If
necessary, you should therefore place the handset on the charging station or base.
•
After switching this function on, check its functionality:
•
Test the sensitivity.
•
Test the connection is established when the baby alarm is set to redirect to an
external number.
•
Make sure that the answering machine for the target phone number is switched
on.
•
Please bear in mind that the room monitor (baby phone) does not work in excep-
tional cases e.g. when the phone number specified by the user is busy, the mobi-
le phone number specified by the user has no reception, during an outage of the
public power supply or when the batteries are empty.
Managing the codes for network functions
The additional services on the analogue network (standard connection from Swisscom)
are controlled by codes which are sent from your phone to the telephone exchange.
As an example, “R2” is specified for switching back and forth between two call partners.
With the Aton CLT321 you do not have to remember the codes for most common
network services: instead you will have plain text on the display, e.g. instead of “R2” you
will see
Brokering
(“R” is the so-called flash, a signal to the telephone exchange).
