SMS centre
SMS messages will be exchanged via an SMS centre. In order to send and receive SMS
messages you will require the phone number of your service provider’s SMS centre.
Four entries have been provided in your telephone for the phone numbers of SMS
centres:
†
SMS centre 1 to 4.
Following is a description of the significance of these entries for the sending and receiving
of SMS messages.
Sending/receiving an SMS
The sending number 062 210 00 of SMS centre 1 and the receiving number 062 210 00
of SMS centre 2 are already set up for Swisscom. If you are using the device on an
extension, do not forget to put the exchange code (e.g. 0) for your telephone system in
front of the phone number of SMS centre 1.
If multiple SMS centres are listed you can select – via the menu
[
SMS / Settings
]
– the
sending centre for the next SMS to be sent. After sending this message, the device will
reset SMS centre 1 as the sending centre.
You can register with three more SMS centres from various service providers for the
receiving of SMS messages. Registering with an SMS centre is sufficient to be able to
receive SMS messages via that centre.
You must input the phone numbers of these SMS centres under the entries for SMS
centres 2 to 4 (see page 37). You can find out what registration or deregistration
information you have to send to the SMS centre by contacting the relevant service
provider.
Please note
: By resetting the base to factory settings the predefined phone number is
input under SMS centre 1 and the sending of SMS messages will again be possible.
