Setting the dial mode
You can change the dial mode in accordance with the conditions of your connection.
Open
[Settings]
, select
[Base]
and press
[OK]
.
Select
[Dial Mode]
and press
[OK]
.
Select
[Tone]
or
[Pulse]
and press
[OK]
.
Tone: The usual dial mode on analogue connections.
Pulse: May be required for connections to older PABXs. Please refer to the appropriate
documentation.
Switching call waiting on / off
This function must be requested from the network operator. You can then allow or block
this function on your device as required.
With the “call waiting” function you remain reachable by others even during a call. If a
third person calls, you will hear a signal tone and can then decide whether you want to
continue your current call or to speak with the person waiting (see page 49).
Open
[Settings]
, select
[Call Wait On / Off]
and press
[OK]
.
Select
[On]
or
[Off]
and press
[OK]
.
You will hear a corresponding announcement.
Press the
End Call key
.
Please note
: Read from page 49 to find out how to accept or reject another call. For fax
and modem operation you should switch the “call waiting” function off, since it can lead
to disruptions in transmission.
