Explanatory note about the “SMS on fixed-line” service
Your Aton CLT321 is an SMS-enabled telephone, which can receive, store and send SMS
text messages.
Please note
: The SMS function must be supported by your network operator.
The SMS service allows you to send or receive short text messages to or from other ter-
minal devices. A message can be up to 612 characters long. A requirement for the use of
SMS is that the telephone connection and the terminal device support the ‘display phone
number’ function (CLIP).
So that you can also receive SMS messages, you must have sent at least one SMS.
Incoming SMS messages will be stored on the base. You can therefore read, write or
forward your SMS messages using any handset. When multiple handsets are being used,
only one handset can ever access the SMS messages at a given moment.
A maximum of 50 SMS messages can be stored. When the memory is full you will receive
the message

on the display. You can find out how to delete an SMS in
the sections “Inbox” and “Outbox”.
When the memory is full you cannot receive
any new SMS messages.
Please note
: Please keep in mind that for the SMS function the usual first ring will gene-
rally be suppressed. The first ring will only sound for the deleted phone number of the
SMS centre.
