SMS messages that could not be sent because e.g. during the transmission the
connection was interrupted, will be provided with an error status and stored in the outbox
(see page 42).
Bear in mind that with some service providers charges apply for establishing a connection
to the SMS centre. You will only incur costs for sending an SMS when it has been
correctly transmitted to the SMS centre.
After a power outage all settings and the stored SMS messages will be retained.

Inbox

All received SMS messages will be stored in the inbox.

Reading a received SMS

New SMS messages will be indicated on the display and by blinking of the message key.
These notifications can be switched on or off.
Every received SMS will be given a date and time (as transmitted from the SMS centre).
The SMS messages are sorted in the order they are received. New SMS messages appear
before old ones.
The receipt of a new SMS is indicated on the display and the message key blinks.
If it is switched on, an indicator tone will sound. See page 37.
