Remote access / remote setting of the answering machine

Remote access is only possible when this function has been switched on.
†
Please note that the external telephone being used must be capable of sending tone
pulses (DTMF) during the connection.
Switching remote access on / off
Open
[TAM].
Select
[Remote Access]
and press
[OK]
.
Choose whether remote access is switched on or off. When you switch remote access on
you will be prompted to input the PIN (the PIN is not allowed to be “0 0 0 0”). This is
then the current PIN that must be input whenever you use remote access in order to gain
access to the answering machine.
Select the desired setting and press
[OK]
.
Using remote access
Dial the phone number of your connection.
When the answering machine is switched off
it will answer after ten rings with the
outgoing message

. Press the star (*) button. Please enter your remote access
PIN when you will hear the outgoing message. After successfully inputting the code, the
menu options outlined in the following chapter will be available to you.
When the answering machine is switched on
it will answer with the outgoing
message after the set number of rings.
Initiate remote access by pressing the star (*) key during the outgoing message.
Please enter your remote access PIN when you will hear the outgoing message.
Now input the four-digit remote access PIN of your telephone.
