Connecting and Configuring a Printer

Connecting a Printer

If you connect an optional printer to your 9700 instrument, you can print out a hard 
copy of the time and temperature parameters for the PCR methods you create.

Connect one end of your printer cable (N805-1326) to the RS-485 serial port on the 
side panel of the 9700 instrument and connect the other end to the RS-232C interface 
serial adapter on the rear panel of the printer.

Configuring the

Printer

After you have connected the printer cable to the printer, you must configure the 
instrument for the printer. You can connect the 9700 instrument to any printer with a 
serial board and the following specifications:

See your printer manual for instructions on how to complete any other necessary 
installation steps.
