1. Removing the rear panel
To be able to access the electronic parts in the DECADE Elite the rear
panel has to be removed. All circuit boards are mounted on a separate
metal frame, which is fixed on the rear panel of the detector. To access the
electronic parts loosen the four M3 Phillips screws as depicted in the figure
below using a Phillips PH-1 screw driver. The screws are encircled in red.

The screws should be completely loosened, subsequently the rear panel
can be pulled backwards to access the electronics.
Note that the top screws are M3x12mm and the lower ones M3x8mm,
make sure to install the screws back on the correct position when re-
assembling the instrument.
