3.3.6 License management
The license of the simulation kit installed in the MD8470A can be man-
aged by using the License Management Tool. When using the License
Management Tool, perform the following procedure.
[Procedure]
1. Select “Program”
→
“Anritsu”
→
“MX847000A”
→
“License Manage-
ment Tool” from the Start menu on the Windows taskbar to start up
the License Management Tool.
2. The License Management Tool screen is displayed. In this screen,
the license expiration date for the simulation kit support service can
be checked and license data can be imported and exported.
Indicates that the support
service will expire on April
30, 2007.
Indicates that the
expiration date is not
specified.

License Displays the simulation kit model names.
Exp. date
Displays the license expiration date for the simulation
kit support service.
“

” indicates that no expiration date is specified for that
simulation kit.
Import
Click this button to import a license file (*.lic) that was
exported by the MD8470A.
When the simulation kit support service is renewed, im-
port the newly-issued license file to update the expira-
tion date.
Export Click this button to export a license file (*.lic).
This button is used to restore the settings to the state at
factory shipment.
Refer to Appendix B “Returning to the State at Factory
Shipment” for details.
Exit Click this button to exit the License Management Tool.
