2.3.18 External monitor
The VGA connector located on the rear panel of the MD8470A is a 15-pin
Mini D-Sub connector for connecting to an external monitor. An external
display can be used if the external display designation is set to enabled.
Refer to Section 3.2.11 “Using external monitor” for details.
The rear panel of the MD8470A has Call Proc Timing I/O connectors, which
are identical 15-pin Mini D-Sub connectors. Check the connector labels
when connecting and be careful so as not to connect to the wrong connec-
tion point.
2.3.19 Allowable maximum power to input into the connector
Do not input power beyond the allowable maximum power into the input
connector of the MD8470A. In addition, do not input a signal into the
output-only connector. The internal circuits may be damaged if a signal
is input into the output-only connector.

CAUTION
The MD8470A has no circuit that protects the internal cir-
cuit from power above the allowable maximum power. Do
not input power beyond the allowable maximum power.
Doing so may damage the internal circuits, which may
cause a fire or accident to occur.
