Wait a moment after the power On lamp lights up.   Windows XP

Professional will start and “MD8470A Signalling Tester” will be dis-

played (see Fig. 3.1-3).

The “MD8470A Signalling Tester” display disappears, then an icon as

shown in Fig. 3.1-4 is displayed in the taskbar at the lower right of

the screen.    The MD8470A has now started up normally.

This icon is displayed.

CAUTION 

Although you can switch to the BIOS Setup Screen by

pressing the F2 key on the keyboard while Windows is

starting up with the MD8470A, do not switch to the BIOS

Setup screen.  In addition, avoid making any BIOS setting

changes.  Changes of BIOS settings may prevent the

MD8470A from starting.
