3.2.11 Using external monitor

The MD8470A can connect an external monitor to the 

VGA

 connector on

the rear panel.    Follow the steps shown below when using an external

monitor.

[Procedure]

1.

Connect the external monitor to the 

VGA

 connector on the rear panel

of the MD8470A using the display cable, then turn external monitor

power On.

2.

Open the “Display Properties” window using either of the following

methods:

•

Right-click on the desktop to open the pop-up menu and select

“Properties”.

•

Select “Display” from the control panel.

3.

Select the “Settings” tab on the Screen Properties window, then click

“Advanced” in the lower right.

4.

Select the “” tab and set “ON” for “CRT:” in the Display

Switching field.    When display of the MD8470A is unnecessary, set

“OFF” for “LCD:” in the Display Switching field.

5.

The screen is displayed on the external monitor.
