To change user settings:
1. Move the cursor to the
User
line. Enter the user
number (
1-64
) and press
Enter
(
Shot
).
2. Enter the
Priority Level
(
1-8
) and press
Enter
(
Shot
).
Note:
Priority levels are individually configurable.
“
8
” represents the highest priority level; “
1
”
represents the lowest priority. Users with higher
priority levels can capture control of cameras
from users with lower priority levels.
3. Set or change the Passcode for the selected
user:
a. Enter a passcode (6 digits maximum) and
press
Enter
(
Shot
).
The system displays “
VERIFY PASSCODE
”
on the monitor.
b. Re-enter the same passcode. Press
Enter
(
Shot
).
Note:
If the code entered in step 3b does not
match the code entered in step 3a, the
following message is displayed:
**ERROR -
REENTER PASSCODE**
. Repeat steps 3a
and 3b.
4. When finished making changes, press Exit
(Pattern) to return to the previous menu.
Note:
The default passcode for User 1 is
914365
.
This passcode should be changed to prevent
unauthorized access to the system.
Changing Keyboard/Priority
Settings
If User IDs are disabled, select
Keyboard
to assign
priority levels to the selected keyboard. All
keyboards default to level “8” priority.

Keyboard Numbering
Eight RS-232 ports are provided on the rear of the
system CPU module. It is possible to expand the
eight ports using AD1981 Port Expanders to a
maximum of 32 keyboard ports, For appropriate
keyboard numbering, verify if a port expander is
used with each port.
The following table shows the appropriate keyboard
designations with and without port expanders.
