Service manual AlphaCom XL transceiver Rev. 1.4 10-08-2011
Blz. 49/74
DIPSWITCH settings of the AlphaCom XL
The functionality of the ALPHACOM XL transceiver is partially determined by the way the dipswitches are
set. The meaning of the dipswitches are as follows:
Dipswitch number
Setting
Meaning
1
OFF
„Normal‟ mode
ON
When dipswitch 1 is set to ON and the AlphaCom XL is powered
up, the factory default settings will be programmed.
2
OFF
„Normal‟ mode. The programmed webserver- and ethernet settings
are used.
To access the programming or user interface for activation /
deactivation of the relay outputs the programmed login-name and
login-code should be used.
ON
The default webserver and ethernet settings can be used, instead of
the programmed settings. The programmed settings will not be
erased when changing dipswitch 2.
When accessing the programming or the user interface, to activate
/ deactivate the relay outputs, the standard login-name must be
used instead of the programmed login-name and login–code. To
access the programming the standard login-name is „admin‟ and to
access the user interface it is „user‟, both of them without a login-
code. The AlphaCom XL can be reached through IP address
192.168.0.48 and webserver port 80.
Attention:
the default gateway is 0.0.0.0 and the AlphaCom XL
cannot communicate with the outside world.
Only use this setting to program the Ethernet settings and the
Login-name / Login-code. Restart the AlphaCom XL and set
dipswitch 2 back to OFF.
Attention:
when the AlphaCom XL uses DHCP and dipswitch 2 is
ON the AlphaCom XL will still work with a fixed IP address
192.168.0.48 and port 80 !
3
OFF
Acces to the programming is fully blocked. If you try to reach the
internal webserver of the AlphaCom XL, a screen will appear with
the message „it is not possible to connect to this device‟. Access to
the AlphaCom XL is blocked for both the supervisor and the user.
This is the safest mode of operation.
ON
Able to Access the programming and change/program settings or
access the user interface to activate / deactivate the relay outputs
with the user login-name and login-code.
4
Dipswitch 4 has no function and is intended for future use. If in
contact with the Alphatronics helpdesk you maybe asked to
temporarily set dipswitch 4 to ON
