PSTN back-up function
The AlphaCom XL continuously checks if the LAN connection is present en if the connection with the
central station is still active. As soon as the LAN connection disappears of the connection with the central
station is lost, the priority switch is activated on the AlphaCom XL. The incoming PSTN line (CMK) is
redirected to an outgoing PSTN line (TEL) so the analog dialer and transmit it messages via an analog
telephone line to the central station. As soon as the LAN connection has been re-established the priority
switch will switch back. When using this option make sure the correct settings have been entered in the
programming!.
If there is no analog telephone line present, a GSM adapter (004490) can also be used which is connected to
the TEL connection. The GSM apdater simulates an analog telephone line and can work as an ideal back-up
connection.

correctly.
