Service manual AlphaCom XL transceiver Rev. 1.4 10-08-2011
Blz. 35/74
Monitoring Settings / Fault relay
When pressing the button „Input / Output settings‟ in the main menu, the following screen will appear.
The first screen that is displayed is the
Monitoring Settings.
The other options can be choosen by clicking on
the buttons on the left-hand side of the screen.
In the
communication failure
fields you can program what action should be taken if one of the transceiver
should fail. Each transceiver can be programmed separately including a delay time. After the delay time has
expired and a SIA code has been programmed, the message will be placed in the buffer. Depending on the
configuration and programming the alarm message will be sent by the back-up channel or transceiver 2.
The programmed SIA code will mostly be determined together with the central station. For a full description
of SIA codes refer to appendix G.
If a cross is placed in the field
activate relay 4 by fault
then relay number 4 will be activated as long as the
fault situation exists. Relay 4 is the general fault relay and can only be activated in fault situations. The relay
cannot be activated by the end-user.
The same programming logic of placing an alarm message in the buffer and activating fault relay 4 also
applies for the power supply, GPRS connection, tamper switch, tamper loop PSTN and reset of the
AlphaCom XL.
A power supply of approx 15.0Volts is specified for the +-16VDC terminal blocks. When the AlphaCom
XL has its own (not powered by the control panel) power supply, the power supply must be 16VDC. In this
case a rechargeable battery pack can be connected to the battery connections on the AlphaCom XL board. If
a battery pack is connected the
SIA Alarm Code
and
Restore Code
must be programmed.
