This example assigns the priority 1 to the switch with ID 1:

RENUMBER
Every switch in a stack must have a unique ID number. The range is 1
to 8. The default is 1. The master switch should use the default value. The
number is set on the member switches with the STACK RENUMBER
command. Here is the format:
The variables are defined here:
current_switch_ID – This is the current ID number of the switch.
You can specify only one ID number.
new_switch_ID – This is the new ID number for the switch. You
can specify only one number. The range is 1 to 8. The default is 1.
Changing the ID number requires resetting the switch.
This example changes a switch ID from 1, the default, to 2:

PROVISION
To ensure that the first power-on of the stack is successful, configure the
master switch such that it is aware of the member switches, prior to
forming the stack. This involves using the SWITCH PROVISION command
to add the member switches as provisioned units on the master switch.
