1. Set the "Mode" to handle the way how R&S
NGU regulates the output.
● "VPM": Voltage priority mode is the default operating mode.
● "CPM": Current priority mode is a special mode that R&S
NGU operates to pro-
tect current sensitive DUTs. For more information, see
2. Configure the "Arb Editor" with the required voltage, current and duration.
To configure the current, select the or icon of the current that you want to
change.
The R&S
NGU displays the on-screen keypad for data entry.
3. Confirm values with the unit keys.
4. Select the interpolation checkbox to toggle on/off the interpolation function on the
arbitrary data.
5. Select the or icon to add or delete the arbitrary data from the dialog.

: A new row of data is added at the end of the table. It is initially filled with the
data of the currently selected row.

: Removes the currently selected row from the table.
6. Set the "Rep" to configure repetition cycle for the arbitrary data.
By default, the repetition cycle is set to infinity.
7. Set the "End Behavior" to handle the way to end the automation of the Arbitrary
function.
● "Off": The output of the selected channel is turned off after performing the Arbi-
trary function.
