djust
the
synthesizer
output
power
so
that
the
desired
power
at
the
output
is
attained.
F
or
example
,
assume
that
you
are
using
a
power
splitter
and
you
want
05
dBm
at
the
output
of
the
splitter
.
In
this
case
,
you
must
set
the
power
at
the
output
to
05
dBm.
P
erform
the
following
procedure
to
set
the
power
at
the
output
to
05
dBm.
a.
T
emporarily
connect
the
power
meter
and
sensor
at
the
output.
b.
Press
the
4
POWER

key
.
c.
Rotate
the
knob
until
the
power
meter
reads
05
dBm
(disregard
the
synthesizer
power
level
reading).
d.
Disconnect
the
power
meter
and
sensor
from
the
output
and
connect
the
device
under
test
(DUT).
Notes
1.
When
the
4
EXT
DIODE

y
is
pressed,
the
synthesizer
output
power
might
change
.
Therefore
,
you
might
want
to
check
the
output
power
and
readjust
if
necessary
.
2.
External
diode
detector
leveling
does
not
provide
temperature
compensation,
thus,
output
level
recalibration
might
be
required
in
environments
that
are
not
temperature
stabilized.
3.
External
diode
detector
leveling
does
not
provide
proper
compensation
from
square
law
to
linear
regions
of
the
detector
.
Therefore
,
power
level
changes
ma
y
require
output
level
recalibration.
