VACUUM SYSTEM

Drive the machine forward to bend over the squeegee blades into their “operating position” and look at
the squeegee caster wheels. If they do not touch the floor, increase the squeegee pressure by loosen-
ing the thumb screw in collar “H”, pulling the collar toward the back of the machine and tightening the
thumb screw. Make equal adjustments on both sides of the squeegee mount.
4
If the squeegee leaves puddles of water in low spots on the floor, lower the operating position of the
squeegee by removing the “J” washers (See Figure 5). Install the washers on top of bracket “K” for
future use.
•
If the wiping blade bends over too far, remove washers from the top of bracket “K and install them
between the caster and the bottom of the bracket.

SQUEEGEE BLADE REPLACEMENT
There are (3) rubber blades on the squeegee. The front blade increases the velocity of the air entering the
squeegee. The wiping blade wipes the floor dry. The rear blade supports the wiping blade.
The wiping blade works best when there is a sharp corner on its front edge. As the squeegee is used, the
front edge wears to a radius. When this happens, the blade can be removed from the squeegee and turned
around so the sharp edge that used to face the back of the machine is facing forward.
