D.1.9 Initialization

Link Initialization
When the array unit is turned on and becomes ready, the WMS100 performs the Link
Initialization process. The LR, LRR, NOS, OLS, and IDLE are exchanged between
subsystem and the connected N_Port, and frames cannot be transmitted until the Active
state.
The details of the Link Initialization process is shown in the Table D.15. At the beginning,
the WMS100 becomes OLS Transmit state, and the Link Initialization process continues
until the Active state.

Loop Initialization
When the array unit is turned on and becomes ready and the Arbitrated Loop is detected,
the WMS100 performs the Loop Initialization process.
The Loop Initialization is performed by ARBx (Arbitrate), LIP (Loop Initialization), CLS
(Close), and the following Loop Initialization frames:
LISM: Select Master based on 8-byte Port_Name.
LIFA: Fabric Assign AL_PA bit map.
LIPA: Previously Acquired AL_PA bit map.
LIHA: Hard Assigned AL_PA bit map.
LISA: Soft Assigned AL_PA bit map.
