Changing the Default Controller in Charge of an LU 

Note:

 The controller in charge of a default LU can be changed only for the dual active mode 

configuration of a dual system. 

To change the controller in charge of a default LU, follow these steps: 

1.

 

Turn on the power supply. 

Note:

 If the power supply has already been turned on, proceed to the next step. 

1.

 

Start the Storage Navigator Modular program and set the operation mode in 
Management Mode. 

2.

 

Double-click the icon of an array unit on the Main window. Select the Settings menu, 
and then click Display Details. Alternately, click Display Details on the tool bar. 

3.

 

 Click the Logical Status tab on the Unit screen. 

4.

 

Select the logical unit for which you want to change the Change Default Controller. 

5.

 

On the Settings menu, select Logical Unit and select Change Default Controller.  
A message displays requesting confirmation to change the default controller. 

6.

 

Click OK. The default controller in charge of a logical unit will be changed. 

7.

 

A message displays stating that the setting is complete. Click OK.
