When Personal Fax is installed, only administrators can send faxes. NPC has altered the associated
configurations to eliminate this limitation. However, it is recommended to log in as an
Administrator. For normal users to send faxes, you may check your write access in the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Print/Printers/Fax/.…
• The profile name necessary for logging on to personal fax/messaging service is usually the
same as the account name that you use for system logon.
• Fax service requires Windows Messaging to send fax via email.
• You may add more recipient machines later using the Altos RAIDWatch configuration
utility (as will be discussed in the proceeding discussions).
• Proceed to complete the installation process.
• Diagrammed below is the topological view of the relationship between fax receiving
machines and the fax sending computer.
