No bolus is delivered!
During bolus delivery:
If the scroll bolus delivery has begun, it can be cancelled at any
time by pressing
s
or
a
for 3 seconds. Afterwards your insulin
pump beeps** a melody and an “Alert A8: Bolus Cancelled” oc-
curs.
Silence and confirm the alert by pressing
f
twice.
Please refer to section 7.1.8 “Alert A8: Bolus Cancelled” for fur-
ther information.
The bolus amount delivered before the cancellation can be reviewed in the bolus his-
tory. Please refer to section 6.1.1 “Review the bolus history” for further information.
5.2.3 Extended bolus
The extended bolus function allows you to program a bolus amount delivered over a
period of time. The duration of bolus delivery can be programmed in 15 minute inter-
vals up to four hours. The bolus delivery begins immediately after confirmation.
This function can be helpful during long meals, at dinners or receptions, or with meals
which are digested slowly (e.g. pizza). The use of the extended bolus can also be ap-
propriate with people who have gastroparesis (delayed digestion).
** Beeps occur only if they have not been turned off.

The last bolus from the bolus history is displayed.

for further information.

to decrease the bolus amount.
5. Check the bolus amount programmed on the display.
6. Press

within 20 seconds* to confirm and start the insulin
delivery.
Your insulin pump beeps** a melody followed by three short
beeps. Delivery then begins immediately and without confir-
mation beeps or vibrations.

is not pressed within 20 seconds*, your insulin pump automa-
tically returns to

(timeout) and no bolus is delivered.
To cancel a scroll bolus
During programming:
• If you do not press any key for 20 seconds*, your insulin
pump automatically returns to
RUN
(timeout).
No bolus is delivered!
• Set the bolus amount to 0.0 units by pressing/scrolling
s
.

and changes made using the Accu-Chek DiaLog Pump Programming tool.
